F or five generations, the Oberto family has been connected to the territory of La Morra and the hills of Barolo. Starting as a farming business, they specialized in winemaking in the 1950s. Over the years, they have acquired new lands and built the current winery. Today, the business is managed by Luigi's children, Marco and Paola, with the contribution of Marco's wife, Federica.
Ciabot Berton’s winery is built in a dominant area which offers a panoramic view of the hills of Barolo. All of the vineyards are located in the prestigious crus of La Morra. Each plot of land if vinified separately to enhance the personality of the terroir.
The cellar produces wines that stand the test of time beyond trends, using a production approach that combines the experience of five generations with the ability to innovate. The land is respected, following the natural rhythms of each vineyard to make unique wines that express the specific characteristics of the territory and vintage.
The vineyards are managed using eco-sustainable techniques, including integrated pest management and organic agriculture, to ensure high-quality grapes. Their commitment to the land and respect for nature guide the company towards sustainability, following the regulations of Integrated Pest Management for low environmental impact in agriculture.
As each parcel is vinified separately to enhance the terroir's personality, the family produces a range of wines including Barolo, Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba, Favorita Alissa and Rosato Le Macaline.
